Humanistic Therapy

This approach is concerned with helping a person to grow and develop (self-actualise) and works with the blocks which prevent us from reaching our full potential. Its key premises include such ideas as our behaviours are fuelled by positive intentions and that human beings are fundamentally good. Personal experience is encouraged and therapists have techniques that help with this. Understanding alone is not considered enough to grow.
