This section offers helpful information about the issues around talking therapy,
such as your emotions and how they impact on different areas of your life and the different kinds of talking therapies.
Existential therapy is based around four ‘givens’ of existence:
- isolation and
- lack of meaning.
The emphasis is on the choices you can make in the present and future. Your counsellor will help you notice how you have answered life's questions in the past.
You can overcome your anxieties and instead view life as moments in which you can experience freedom.
